You can find black sesame paste in organic stores and Asian grocery stores but it is rather rare and expensive.
So here is our black sesame paste recipe. It is a recipe that requires patience but the result is worth it!

Ingredients
- 200 g black sesame
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2 tbsp honey
Instructions
- Heat a pan and roast the black sesame seeds for a good 5 minutes over low heat.
- Pour the seeds into a food processor and blend for 10 minutes, then wait for your processor to cool before repeating twice.
- Add the spoons of honey, the pinch of salt.
- Then mix for another 10 minutes, pausing 2 or 3 more times. You will obtain a thick and oily paste.
- Pour into a jar and store in a cool place.
The black sesame paste keeps very well in a jar in the fridge, you can also freeze it. It is a good base to make a ganache for macaroons, mochi or to make a black sesame ice cream!
